In a rapidly evolving space sector, radio spectrum  is as strategic an asset as infrastructure itself. Without access to frequencies, no transmission or connectivity is possible.

Kinéis has therefore adopted a spectral strategy optimized for the specific needs of satellite IoT: an approach centered on the UHF band, combining low power consumption, robustness, and global coverage. Rather than aiming for high data rates, we prioritize short, targeted transmissions, allowing millions of connected objects to share the same resource without interference, with reliable connectivity anywhere on Earth. Additionally, Kinéis is the first European operator to secure spectrum in the S-band, paving the way for tomorrow’s NTN connectivity.

Furthermore, Kinéis is committed to shaping international standards by joining the ITU and SG4 group. The goal:

• Protecting IoT frequency bands against the increasing congestion of low Earth orbits,
• Developing 5G NTN standards, enabling seamless hybrid terrestrial and satellite connectivity,
• Promoting sustainable space management, essential for future generations.
