Kinéis showcases sovereign satellite connectivity in support of defence operations

At Eurosatory 2026, Kinéis presents its sovereign satellite connectivity solutions dedicated to situational awareness and operational coordination. From June 15 to 19, the French satellite operator will be present at two locations: Kinéis – Hall 4 – Stand C239, and the French Ministry of Armed Forces Hall 5A – Stand F5, reflecting the institutional integration of its solutions within the French defence ecosystem.

Kinéis, a French satellite operator at the service of strategic data

Kinéis is a French satellite operator specialising in low-data-rate IoT communications and AIS data collection for maritime surveillance. The company has designed and operates a complete infrastructure comprising a constellation of 25 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), a global network of 20 ground stations, and an operations center based in Toulouse.

Kinéis embodies a vision of technological sovereignty applied to the most critical challenges: end-to-end control of the value chain, from satellite to data processing, 100% French financing, and guaranteed data integrity and availability for its users.

This sovereign architecture enables data to be collected, transmitted and exploited anywhere in the world - particularly beyond the reach of terrestrial networks - ensuring the service continuity and operational resilience essential to mission conduct.

Blue Force Tracking: sovereignty at the heart of situational awareness

Eurosatory will be an opportunity for Kinéis to demonstrate its Blue Force Tracking solution, based on the Individual Positioning Beacon (IPB). This solution enables near-real-time localisation, tracking and coordination of personnel and equipment, even in degraded environments, without available GNSS infrastructure or in electronic warfare contexts.

Already proven in real operational conditions, the IPB solution was deployed during Exercise Orion - one of the largest French military exercises in recent years - validating its robustness and interoperability in a demanding operational framework.

Resilience against electromagnetic disruptions and jamming attempts

Satellite AIS: global and sovereign maritime surveillance

Kinéis also offers a satellite AIS (Automatic Identification System) solution enabling the tracking and surveillance of vessels on a global scale, including in the most isolated or strategically sensitive areas, beyond the reach of coastal AIS stations.

Already selected by key players such as LSEG, Luxspace, and Lloyd’s List Intelligence, this solution addresses the growing need for maritime situational awareness.
