Kinéis reaches break-even as early as 2026, one year after launching its services

Press release • September 7, 2026

Toulouse, September 7, 2026 - One year after the commercial launch of its services, Kinéis, Europe’s 1st operator of satellite IoT and AIS connectivity, is targeting profitability as early as 2026, with expected revenue of €18 million. A major milestone for the European space scale-up, confirming the commercial traction of its constellation.

Accelerating iot growth: from 20,000 to 50,000 connected objects in one year

Since launching its services in summer 2025, Kinéis has seen the number of objects connected to its constellation grow, with a target of nearly 50,000 by year-end—an increase of more than 150% in twelve months. This momentum is driven by solid and diversified growth levers: the deployment of concrete solutions across strategic verticals:infrastructure, environment, transport, civil protection and defence-and supported by rapidly growing use cases. It is also underpinned by an expanding international footprint, with new structuring partnerships in Asia-Pacific and North America. All these growth drivers are translating into positive customer feedback in the field, demonstrating the value of Kinéis connectivity:

CLS, a long-standing customer, is deploying its Nemo product on a large scale to track small-scale fisheries, as well as herd-monitoring solutions;

Small-scale fishing represents nearly 55 million fishers worldwide. To meet their specific needs and regulatory requirements, CLS has developed applications and beacons adapted to their realities at sea. Thanks to Kinéis satellite connectivity, these solutions make it possible to geolocate the beaconsand therefore the vessels,even outside GSM coverage, thereby strengthening monitoring and safety says Hervé Galabert, Director of Sustainable Fisheries Management Applications

Confirmed international expansion

Kinéis is strengthening its international presence through three new strategic partnerships:

• OSB a leading Vietnamese technology player specialising in satellite technologies and communications,

• Network Innovation, an international technology integrator specialising in critical communication and connectivity solutions particularly in Asia-Pacific,

• Netmore group based in Stockholm, 1st network operator and global platform provider specialising in the deployment of large-scale IoT solutions.

From trials to large-scale deployment

Several use cases are currently under trial to accelerate the deployment of concrete, on-the-ground applications, supported by a French national investment plan dedicated.
• troop tracking solution,
• container logistics tracking,
• high-voltage line monitoring.

And two use cases focused on forest fire prevention:
• early forest fire detection,
• water tank monitoring.

Kinéis equips the Silvanet system (developed with Dryad Networks) with satellite connectivity, enabling smouldering fires to be detected before flames appear. Deployed since 2025 with Entente-Valabre*, the system already has nearly 700 active sensors under trial A total of 10,000 beacons have been delivered and will be deployed from September onwards. A second system enables the remote monitoring of water and fire-retardant tanks in forest areas. The objective is to know, before setting out to intervene, whether a tank is full, empty or half-full—essential information for saving valuable time in the field.

New contracts are also under discussion and are expected to be signed by year-end, confirming Kinéis’ international deployment momentum in high-potential markets, while several other use cases are currently being deployed for private customers in France and internationally, such as groundwater monitoring and drilling-well monitoring. All these encouraging signals point to Kinéis’ growth potential in its target markets over the coming years.

AIS: a strategic market driven by geopolitical tensions

Against a geopolitical backdrop marked by growing demand for transparency in maritime flows, Kinéis’ AIS (Automatic Identification System) business is experiencing particularly strong momentum. The global vessel-tracking systems market, valued at $2.27 billion in 2025, is expected to reach $4.5 billion by 2035-an annual growth rate of 7.11%.**

In this strategically important market, Kinéis signed major partnerships in the first half of 2026, notably with Lloyd’s List Intelligence, LuxSpace and LSEG, and is seeing a significant increase in revenue from this segment.

By integrating Kinéis’ satellite technology into our existing infrastructure, we are offering a robust, multi-layered data ecosystem that ensures comprehensive coverage, including in the world’s most remote maritime regions, says Parvin Conners, Chief Data Officer at Lloyd’s List Intelligence.

Kinéis’ next challenges

Building on this initial review one year after the launch of its commercial services, the company intends to:

• consolidate its position as Europe’s leading satellite IoT/AIS operator, particularly in applications related to defence, maritime, energy and water management;
• accelerate its international expansion across every continent;
• continue innovating to address the connectivity challenges of future generations.
