FRANCE 2030

Kinéis, awardee of the "France 2030" investment plan tender

The France 2030 plan, with a total budget of €54 billion — €1.5 billion of which is allocated to the space sector — aims to strengthen the French industrial fabric, invest in innovative technologies, and support ecological transition. This program positions France to address the economic, technological, and environmental challenges of tomorrow while enhancing its competitiveness and sovereignty.

In a global context marked by profound transformations, mastering environmental and mobility challenges has become a strategic sovereignty issue. To ensure reinforced national independence, French government agencies require systems capable of:

  • Monitoring critical change indicators, such as rising sea levels or wildfire outbreaks;
  • Tracking and managing logistics, network, and infrastructure parameters related to transport and energy;
  • Collecting positional data on sensitive equipment.

As a French satellite operator specializing in IoT, Kinéis leverages its expertise and extensive partner network — including connected device manufacturers, digital platform developers, and other key stakeholders — to modernize public sector tools and bolster the competitiveness of strategic French industries.

To this end, a large-scale deployment of several thousand connected terminals is planned over the next three years. These terminals, tailored to various use cases, will address the needs of public actors, particularly in environmental protection, logistics tracking, and maritime surveillance.

KINÉIS MEETS WITH SDIS TEAMS

Satellite IoT for combating wildfires and protecting natural areas

On January 21, 2025, Kinéis will welcome French Fire and Rescue Services (SDIS) to The Camp in Aix-en-Provence for an event dedicated to wildfire prevention and the protection of natural spaces. Organized in collaboration with l’Entente Valabre, this event will spotlight satellite IoT solutions developed as part of the France 2030 initiative.

Participants will explore innovations designed for early wildfire detection and the monitoring of DFCI (Defence of Forests Against Fires) tanks, which store water or fire retardant. Live demonstrations will showcase the effectiveness of these solutions in real-world scenarios, accompanied by feedback from their deployment. The event will also include training sessions for SDIS teams on implementing these connected tools, with the ambitious goal of deploying several thousand Dryad sensors in the coming years to enhance fire prevention and tank management.

Kinéis will join forces with experts from Entente Valabre and its CNES partners, all committed to this strategic initiative for French Civil Security. Around thirty participants are expected to attend this event, marking a significant milestone in the application of satellite technologies for the protection of forests and natural areas.

TRACK VALUE

Kinéis connectivity on track for 2025

Kinéis is pleased to announce its collaboration with Europorte and Kerlink, marked by the signing of a contract for the commercialization of the Track Value solution. Based on Kinéis' satellite connectivity, this technology is revolutionizing multimodal transport management.

By 2026, thousands of connected sensors will be deployed to optimize transport operations, paving the way for new, promising business opportunities.

Track Value: empowering smart freight management

Track Value, the result of the partnership with Kerlink and Europorte, enables real-time monitoring of transport operations through sophisticated sensors installed on transportation assets such as railcars. These sensors measure key parameters, including:

  • 24/7 location tracking,
  • Temperature variations,
  • Unusual vibrations,
  • Brake activation detection.

With global coverage provided by the Kinéis satellite constellation, the collected data is accessible anywhere, even in the most remote regions of the planet.

Kinéis extends its gratitude to Kerlink and Europorte for their trust in this cutting-edge solution, which marks a significant step forward in freight transport optimization.

TRACK & MONITOR YOUR WAGONS

Optimize the profitability and safety of your rail freight

Tracking railcars in areas with no connectivity presents a major challenge, directly impacting profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction. With millions of railcars in operation, delays, losses, and high maintenance costs hinder the competitiveness of industry players.

The Kinéis solution

Kinéis' satellite connectivity, combined with the Track Value solution developed with Kerlink and Europorte, ensures real-time tracking even in remote areas. The intelligent sensors embedded in the railcars monitor critical parameters: temperature, vibrations, geolocation, and accidental train activation.

25 nanosatellites in 2025: the final phase of our constellation deployment

Last year marked a crucial milestone in our mission to make data transmission accessible and reliable worldwide. Thanks to three successful launches from Māhia, New Zealand, with Rocket Lab, 15 Kinéis nanosatellites are now orbiting Earth.

Starting from the first quarter of 2025, two new launches will complete our constellation, bringing the total number of nanosatellites to 25. This unique deployment will ensure reliable connectivity services and access to critical information anywhere on the planet, enabling you to track, monitor, and receive alerts quickly about everything that matters to you.

Countdown to launch for Mission IV: "IoT 4 You and Me"

Patch-Mission-4_nl-Kineis

The 5 new satellites of Mission IV have arrived at the Rocket Lab launch site in New Zealand and are ready to be integrated under the Electron rocket's fairing. This mission, titled "IoT 4 You and Me," is inspired by the famous song "Heal The World"  by Michael Jackson, reflecting our commitment to creating a positive and global impact. Much like the song, which calls for unity and collective participation for meaningful change, "IoT 4 You and Me" highlights how Kinéis' IoT technology can improve lives while addressing major challenges for humanity, its activities, and the environment.

The launch window will be announced soon. Stay tuned to follow this next step in our space adventure.

2025 : Turning ambitions into orbit

This new year is shaping up to be exciting with the upcoming launch of our services. These will provide access to strategic data in under 15 minutes for a variety of applications: asset tracking, maritime security, infrastructure management, and more.

With a sovereign, 100% European solution specifically designed to transmit small data, we will continue to strengthen our position as a leader in IoT and S-AIS solutions.
