A New Era for Wildfire Detection

Kinéis has developed a cutting-edge solution for early wildfire detection, utilizing a constellation of 25 nanosatellites. By employing intelligent sensors installed on trees, our technology identifies early signs of fires, even in the most remote areas. Data is transmitted in near real-time, enabling swift emergency response and significantly reducing potential damage. This satellite technology offers endless applications in natural risk management.

Australia, frequently facing devastating wildfires, can now benefit from the satellite connectivity provided by Kinéis. Gas sensors developed by Dryad Networks transmit information directly to Kinéis satellites, ensuring reliable coverage even in the continent’s most isolated regions.

With this system, alerts are transmitted in less than 15 minutes after a fire starts, allowing for rapid intervention and substantially limiting the extent of damage.

A strategic partner for authorities and professionals

In France, the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion has officially selected Kinéis' satellite solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) in future wildfire detection systems. Beyond public authorities, infrastructure companies in rail and electrical sectors are also impacted by this critical issue. They can leverage this technology to secure their installations, taking over from terrestrial networks. These sectors are exposed to accidental fire risks generated by their activities, such as sparks from braking trains or electrical arcs from defective pylons.
